Therapist Bios
Janet Rae: An experienced practitioner, Janet has built upon her degree in Behavioural Science with extensive training and accreditation. A qualified counsellor, CBT therapist & accredited BABCP member, she has specialist training and experience in a variety of fields and techniques, including trauma/PTSD work, Mindfulness & Neurolinguistic Programming, and is qualified in Advanced Studies in Psychotherapy. Janet treats a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, amongst others, and has a special interest in the treatment of trauma and PTSD. Janet continues to offer face to face support at our Ayr office.
Lisa Mauchlen: Since gaining her BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology, Lisa has developed her professional qualification & experience as a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Lisa is also currently working towards her BABCP accreditation. She works with issues including anxiety, depression, confidence, trauma, OCD, ADHD and addiction, and with both adults and adolescents. She can work from both our Ayr office and remotely.
Joan Auld is an Accredited EMDR Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN). She has worked in the NHS for over 20 years and as as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Therapist. Joan has a special interest in the treatment of trauma. Joan also uses EMDR in the treatment of general mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and has a keen interest in the treatment of chronic pain and eating disorders. Joan also offers hypnotherapy, NLP, Life Coaching and CBT/motivational/solution focussed and family systemic approaches.
Tabita Kristal is a qualified Health Psychologist, having completed her doctorate in Health Psychology. Tabita works with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, chronic pain, relationship issues and many more. Tabita has a special interest in the psychological treatment of health-related conditions. Tabita works integratively, using CBT, person centred, ACT, Mindfulness and Schema focussed approaches.
Jaclyn Hendersson is a qualified and BABCP registered CBT therapist. Jaclyn has a BA in social policy and PgDiploma in drug and alcohol studies. Jaclyn works with adults with a range of presenting issues to help support them in achieving their goals. Issues that Jaclyn treats range from anxiety, depression, self esteem and confidence to addictive behaviours. Jaclyn has combined her studies and her therapeutic experience to develop a special interest in working with the impact of problematic substance and alcohol use and all associated behaviours. Jaclyn works from both our Ayr and Glasgow offices and also remotely.
